Glutton for Punishment

Well, it would be seem that I’m never satisfied. Not in only am I still learning knife making, and leather working, but I’ve just signed up for an intro to blacksmithing class. Actually, it’s being given to me as a birthday present by my beautiful and tolerant wife. My friend Chuck (Pigeon Roost Forge), and I will be going to the Center for Metal Arts in March for a one day class with blacksmith Jesse Savage. It is focused on making bottle openers as a way to teach the fundamentals of moving metal. I believe Chuck’s interest is in learning general smithing techniques, where mine is learning what I can and applying it to forging blades. I’ll update you all as I know more.

    1. Thank you very much. Learning bladesmithing will let me do things that are much more difficult to do with my current techniques.
